I can't believe that another year is nearly gone. It's flown by. There's so much work to be done in the world, simply to make it liveable.
I feel that I was so naive, when I began this blog, full of ideas and dreams about writing about Cornwall.
Hurricane Katrina cured me of that.
Yet, I still hope to curl up and read more Jane Austen in the coming months, and discuss her work with my sisters.
Bridget always talks of balance -- perhaps my anger at the way the hurricane was not handled has gone too far and I'm trying to compensate for everyone's mistkaes too much. As my sisters point out, I can't fix the problems that the government created with their apathy.
All I can do is as much as a single individual can do. And, if enough single individuals work together, we can make a positive change and help the people who still so desparately need it.
Best wishes for a peaceful and joyful New Year,
Beatrix
